The Picarus experience: sailing and cetaceans in groups of up to 9 people
At Picarus we don’t sell an excursion: we invite you to experience the sea differently. We sail through the Teno-Rasca Marine Strip in a sustainable way, respecting nature.
Watching whales and dolphins is only one part of the trip: on the same outing from Los Gigantes we also snorkel, swim, enjoy the cliffs and share an aperitif on board. Discover the full experience.

Verified sightings
What we have seen at sea
These are the latest real sightings logged on board by our guides with GeoReport, trip after trip, in the Teno-Rasca marine strip.
They are published one day later and without coordinates: we share what the sea gives us without pointing at where the animals are.
Navigate with us
If you are in Tenerife or come on vacation, you cannot stop enjoying this experience.
We are a company that practices sustainable tourism, whose main concern is respect for animals and their habitat.
For the first inhabitants of Tenerife, the world ended at the northwest end of the island, where an impassable rock wall rose. It was what is known today as Los Gigantes Cliffs, at this point is where our trip begins, an old massif that in different areas reaches 600 meters high and where we can find virgin coves along this coast.
This point of the island includes a great biological wealth, starring its seabed, with a peculiar flora and fauna where the Tenerife Whale Watching activity will take place, we can enjoy the company of pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins… and if we are lucky, we could spot other marine animals such as tropical fin whales or one of the 30 species of cetaceans that can be seen throughout the year, as well as turtles and seabirds.
Our crew will provide you with information about both the coast and the animals that we find. And to end the excursion you can take a bath or snorkel, as well as savor our food and drink on board.
