What it is and who grants it
ACEST brings together whale-watching companies from south-west Tenerife committed to the conservation of the species and to dignifying this activity: making cetacean watching in the Canaries synonymous with respect, not overcrowding.
The association acts as the sector’s common voice before institutions and international programmes: it is a partner of the World Cetacean Alliance and took part as a sector agent in the action plan of the Tenerife-La Gomera Whale Heritage Area.
What it means when you sail with us
As members we take part in the sector’s joint work. ACEST is a partner of the World Cetacean Alliance and was one of the agents behind the action plan of the Tenerife-La Gomera Whale Heritage Area, in whose working group Picarus was represented.
Being part of ACEST is a way of saying that competition ends where the animals’ welfare begins: the member companies row in the same direction so that whale watching in Tenerife stands for respect.
