Why do we recommend Forestal Park Tenerife?
Forestal Park Tenerife is a treetop adventure park at 1,400 metres of altitude, in the Las Lagunetas Protected Landscape (El Rosario). Its 9 circuits, with more than 90 challenges at height plus ziplines, run among Canary pines, with a continuous lifeline system and a safety briefing before you start. We recommend it because it shares our way of understanding tourism: activity in real nature, safety and respect for the environment.

From the sea to the forest: the other side of Tenerife
At sea we say we don’t sell a boat trip, but another way of looking at the ocean. On land we look for the same thing: experiences that bring you closer to Tenerife’s nature without turning it into a stage set. Forestal Park achieves it on the La Esperanza mountain, a Canary pine forest at 1,400 metres where the plan is to move from tree to tree.
The park operates inside the Las Lagunetas Protected Landscape and is designed to live with the forest, not to occupy it. And it has a quirk we love: up there, there is hardly any phone signal, so your mobile rests while you fly.
How the visit works
The experience lasts around three hours: an initial safety briefing of about half an hour and roughly two and a half hours on the circuits. The continuous lifeline keeps you clipped to the cable at all times, from the first challenge to the last, and the park’s instructors supervise the activity.
There are circuits for everyone: from the green ones, designed for children from 5 years old and 1.10 m tall, to the black one, which will test anybody. Everyone chooses how far to go; nobody has to complete more than their body asks for.
Four levels, one pine forest
The circuits are colour-coded, like ski runs: start with the one that gives you confidence and level up at your own pace.
- Green circuits
- The most accessible: gentle heights and challenges designed for kids and for first-timers among the trees.
- Blue circuits
- Intermediate level: a little more height and balance for those already warmed up.
- Red circuits
- Demanding: more technical challenges and longer ziplines for eager arms.
- Black circuit
- The park’s greatest challenge, reserved for those who really want to test themselves.

Frequently asked questions
-
Do I need previous experience?
No. Before going up to the circuits you receive a safety briefing of about half an hour, and the continuous lifeline system keeps you clipped to the cable at all times. The park’s instructors supervise the activity.
-
Can children take part?
Yes, from 5 years old and 1.10 m tall, always accompanied by an adult. The green circuits are designed for them.
-
What is the relationship between Picarus and Forestal Park?
It is an honest recommendation between companies that share the same way of understanding tourism in Tenerife: real nature, safety and respect for the environment. Bookings, prices and the activity itself depend exclusively on Forestal Park.
-
Can it be combined with the sailing trip?
Yes, and it is a great plan: sea and mountain on the same trip. Our outing takes half a day in Los Gigantes; the park is on the La Esperanza mountain (El Rosario), around an hour away by car.
